Twitch is Presenting The DOTA 2 International 2016 in 1080p, 60FPS

The International 2016 is almost upon us and viewers all around the world will be tuning in to watch the best Dota 2 teams duke it out for a prize pool upwards of $19 million.

To improve the viewing experience of the TI6 for everyone, users will be given the opportunity to view the tournament stream with a variety of new settings.

There will be several lower quality settings for those with slower or unstable internet connections and, to the community’s amazement, a setting that enables fans to watch The International in glorious 1080p at 60fps as the source option.

This could open the door for partnered broadcasters to use higher quality settings, improving stream performance among low-setting users.

Even Lirik has hopped on the hype train, stating that he hopes “this is the starting point to future [high quality] streams for partners.”

Twitch has yet to make a statement regarding the availability of these finer tuned settings to streams other than Valve’s for The International.
