We Spoke to Joshbaked About His New Stream Team: Streamers Connected

Ended soon

Little over a week ago, JoshbakedLTZonda created their own community with a very particular goal in mind. To celebrate the team’s staggering growth in membership, we sat down with Josh to find out a bit more about ‘Streamers Connected’.

Interview by: Hurthe

Streamer News : What exactly is ‘Streamers Connected’?

[su_note note_color=”#f5f5f5″ text_color=”#2f2f2f” radius=”4″] Joshbaked : Streamers Connected is an open community for broadcasters, moderators, developers and viewers of live streams across the internet. The idea was to bring everyone together as we have seen lots of competition in recent months between the traditional ‘Stream Teams’ with a lot of barriers to entry put in place by their owners. Originally we focused on the Twitch Community but due to growing so quickly, we have since implemented Beam and YouTube Members. [/su_note]

Streamer News : What inspired you to make the team?

[su_note note_color=”#f5f5f5″ text_color=”#2f2f2f” radius=”4″] Joshbaked : We felt that twitch was becoming very competitive, stream teams having a lot of trouble with each other, and there was a lot of segregation between different games, genres and levels of streamers but there was nowhere we could see that offered to bring anyone back together so we decided to make Streamers Connected to bring everyone together again and to give back to the community that helped us get to where we are today. [/su_note]

Streamer News : Why have no limits on members? What’s behind this philosophy?

[su_note note_color=”#f5f5f5″ text_color=”#2f2f2f” radius=”4″] Joshbaked : Myself and LTZonda have been in a number of different networks whilst streaming on twitch but never felt like it was a community. There were always regulations in the amount of time you stream and what you have to have on your profile and a lot of new streamers felt isolated with these restrictions and it would put them off. I feel by taking these restrictions away, you are encouraging smaller streamers to be more devoted to twitch and other platforms as you are giving them a direct line of communication with over 1,000 other active members of the community. Basically given them additional networking, marketing and communication avenues just by being in the community. [/su_note]

Streamer News : What does the team hope to achieve? What will you do for your members?

[su_note note_color=”#f5f5f5″ text_color=”#2f2f2f” radius=”4″] Joshbaked : We hope to become the number one community in the live broadcasting space and become the biggest stream team on twitch. We already have over 1,000 members in our discord in 6 days and over 450 Streamers on the team so far and growing each day. What Streamers Connected will do for its members is to provide a place for all people with a passion for streaming to get together, collaborate in the form of all sorts of content and for experienced members to help new streamers get up and running with tech advice and promotion whilst bringing moderators a community to enhance their skills, developers to gain help and ideas from others in the community and even organisations to scout for the latest talent. [/su_note]
Streamer News : How can streamers sign up to the team?

[su_note note_color=”#f5f5f5″ text_color=”#2f2f2f” radius=”4″] Joshbaked : Streamers, Moderators, Developers, Community managers and avid twitch viewers can all sign up through our discord channel (discord.gg/mdMUrBC) where there is a specific section to introduce yourself and your channel or expertise and what you can bring to the community. There are no restrictions to who can join as we see this a a proving grounds for new streamers to show the community what they are truly made of. [/su_note]
Streamer News : Do you have a Curse or Discord page? What will you be using it for?

[su_note note_color=”#f5f5f5″ text_color=”#2f2f2f” radius=”4″] Joshbaked : We do have a discord page! (discord.gg/mdMUrBC) We set up the discord 6 days ago and already have over 1,000 members! We use our discord as a central point for the community and have many different text and voice channels where people can interact and collaborate. Already we have seen many dual streams and graphic designers working together as well as movie nights being arranged on Rabbit and even a daily community spotlight where we promote a new streamer each day from the community. [/su_note]

Streamer News : Do you have a Twitch channel? If yes, what will you use it for?

[su_note note_color=”#f5f5f5″ text_color=”#2f2f2f” radius=”4″] Yes we do! The channel is twitch.tv/StreamersConnected and at this current point in time we aim to give weekly live blog updates from it. Every Saturday afternoon we will do a 30-60 minutes live stream of all the news coming out of the Streamers Connected discord and set our members a new challenge each week around the community. It can be anything from raiding at least one member of SC for that week or inviting a new member into the discord, the possibilities are endless! [/su_note]

Streamer News : Excellent, thank you & good luck with your new venture!
