On Friday the second annual TwitchCon kicks off in sunny San Diego! If you are attending the convention, Twitch posted an article with 7 tips to make TwitchCon the perfect trip!

#1 — Download the App

Your number one resource for all things TwitchCon is the Official TwitchCon App. You can use our app to view every event, create your own custom schedule, connect with other TwitchCon attendees, and more. Download the app today and start planning your complete TwitchCon adventure!

#2 — Get Over Here!

We can’t wait to see you here, and the best way to make sure that happens is to double check your travel information! Our Travel Page and FAQ should give you all the information you need for show floor hours, convention center address information, and additional questions.

#3 — Join the Conversation

#4 — Attend the Keynote

You don’t want to miss this year’s big event: the TwitchCon keynote. Marcus “djWHEAT” Graham and our CEO, Emmett Shear, will take the stage in theKappa Theater to deliver some of the biggest Twitch news and announcements of the year. The show kicks off on September 30th at 2:00pm PT. Spoilers: BIG news is coming.

#5 — Make TwitchCon YOUR event

The TwitchCon schedule is packed with events, tournaments, panels, and more. Whether it’s board games, esports, education, or inclusivity, we made sure that there’s an area for you to hang at the convention center. Here is just a small sample of what’s to come.

#6 — Get Ready for Battle

We love a good battle, so for TwitchCon, we made an arena. This year’sTwitchCon Arena is packed with spectator and LAN events, including titles like CS:GO, Overwatch, and Rocket League. Our Streamline Road to Twitchcon concludes with a $10,000 grand finale with open spots to qualify for from the show floor. The H1Z1 Invitational is set to be the biggest TwitchCon tournament ever, with an all-star cast of competitors and over $250,000 in prizes. Grab a seat and enjoy the competition!

#7 — Party Hard

Here at Twitch, we like to party. There will be lights. There will be music. You might even get hit in the face with a cake. It’s going to be wild, and we want to make sure you’re prepared to have a good time.

For the main event, TwitchCon 2016: The Party takes over Petco Park for our largest party ever. The party starts with the HP Heroes of the Storm Omen Challenge Championship, where the first 1,000 attendees get free pizza. Then, join world-renowned DJ, Steve Aoki, and special guests Darude and two-time Grammy winner T-Pain for a night of music, gaming, fireworks, and more! The party of the year starts on October 1st, but you can get your tickets now here to skip the ticket line and get straight to the show.
