Twitch Officially Launches Twitch Creative

It’s been a long time coming, but Twitch has announced their official support for the Twitch Creative community. They’ve partnered up with Adobe for the launch with a new landing page in the Creative category featuring a dedicated featured video carousel to highlight interesting creative broadcasts for the community.

A few months back they quietly introduced a unique tagging system on the Creative category that was intended to help broadcasters identify the activity they are engaged in. For example, #drawing, #animation, #watercolor, or #robotics. There is not a tagging system in place anywhere else on Twitch except for the Creative section, so it will be easier to find what type of creative broadcaster you would like to watch!

Twitch also updated their Rules of Conduct to reflect their official embrace of the Creative community on Twitch. They encourage the creative section to broadcast to show your creative process on Twitch, from visual art, to woodworking, creating a cosplay costume, music production, and more.

Finally, Twitch will be broadcasting every episode of the original Bob Ross show, The Joy of Painting, in a marathon starting today at 2PM PST on Bob Ross’s Twitch channel. 403 episodes of Bob Ross that will play over the course of 8.5 days. Along with the marathon, Twitch is releasing a special Bob Ross Kappa emote as well (Type: KappaRoss).
