Users who use Twitch in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean can now add a localized display name with characters from their respective languages in front of their existing username.
This is the first rollout of the new feature, Twitch will implement this in other regions in the near future.
The new feature will make Twitch search, @mentions, hosting, and moderation accessible to Chinese, Japanese, and Korean speakers.
Twitch built this feature for communities that face language barriers that enjoy the Twitch experience that English speakers may take for granted.
