Twitch Enables Two-Factor Authentication For All Users

Security is always important, especially as a broadcaster. As many of us know, the account security on Twitch was rather basic for such an advanced website. However, today Twitch announced that users now have the ability to voluntarily use two-factor authentication.

What does this entail?

Each time a user logs in, they will be asked to enter their password and a unique code sent via mobile-device.

How is this feature enabled?

  1. Go to the Security section in Settings.
  2. Select Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
  3. Enter your Twitch password.
  4. Enter your phone number.
  5. Enter the verification code you receive via text message or Authy (if you are an Authy user).
