Microsoft Acquires Livestreaming Service Beam

In just 8th months since the official launch of the livestreaming service Beam, Microsoft has acquired the company to provide new features to Xbox Live.

Together the companies plan on making Xbox Live more social and fun for the whole community through social integration and multiplayer experiences.

Beams Co-founder and CEO, Matt Salsamendi, addressed the beam community today about the acquisition stating that users can look forward to new features, game integrations, and more members.

With this integration, Beam will still remain committed to its mission of empowering users and streamers across platforms.
