It’s hard to believe that Twitch Whispers released one year ago today. Over that time, the feature has changed quite a lot and it’s improvement is apparent.
Below we have created a timeline to show how much the feature has changed since it’s initial release and how it has been integrated with other Twitch features.
- 6/10/2015 – Whisper’s is officially released
- 11/13/2015 – Twitch introduces Whispers 2.0 web beta
- 11/16/2015 – Whispers 2.0 is available on Android devices
- 12/1/2015 – Whispers 2.0 is available on all iOS devices
- 12/15/2015 – Whispers 2.0 is live for everyone
- 2/19/2016 – Twitch Creative launches commission button
- 5/7/2016 – Twitch Friends Beta launches – utilizes Whispers
- 5/11/2016 – ShannonZKiller wrote a guide on friends feature
- 5/26/2016 – Aureylian explains how to use whispers
