Xangold messed around with the new whisper feature Twitch implemented last week and now you can be alerted when a broadcaster you follow goes live in-chat. All you have to do is go on FollowAlerts and authorize your account and it will work. There are more instructions below if you are having issues.

I’m playing around with our new whispers feature, and wanted to make a feature that alerts you on site when someone goes live, without needing a bulky extension.
Here’s how to do it:
- Go to FollowAlerts site
- Authorize App
If it does not work, try these steps:
- Clear cookies for the FollowAlerts site
- Disconnect app
- Refresh/Reconnect FollowAlerts
To disconnect, go to Twitch connection settings and cancel
