Yesterday Amazon announced exciting news. They released a beta of a new game development engine named Lumberyard. Lumberyard can be used to develop for PC and consoles, and is coming out alongside a multiplayer service called GameLift. Lumberyard will also feature Twitch integration. This will allow developers to take advantage of streaming features such as a Twitch Plays option which they recently made a category for.
